Tristan Jewel

Tristan Jewel Abrams is a true Rock Star. Born to musician parents, given a stage name “Tristan Jewel” from birth, some could say she was born of music. While her Father was performing hundreds of miles away on tour, Tristan made her appearance on the Stage of the world, she came out hitting a high note. It is rumoured that her Father was on stage hitting a high note that same moment.

She has been around music her entire existence and took some of her first steps backstage among Rock Legends such as The GrassRoots, Gary Pucket, Tommy James, The Turtles, Ides of March and Peter Noone. Theaters and Stages are more like Home to her, where Sound Engineers and Stage Crew become her family. As a toddler she would mimic her Dad (Bobby Abrams, formerly of The Buckinghams) with a little red guitar and put on shows for her siblings and in her front yard.

Tristan started playing piano at age 3, singing and playing guitar at age 7, bass guitar at age 10, and Saxophone at age 12.  She has been a composer and ASCAP writer since age 7.

Her elementary teacher Mr. Ortman played Charlie Parker in class where Tristan fell in love with Jazz, it encouraged her to follow in her Grandfather, Bob Abrams Sr., Mother and Fathers footsteps of Jazz training. Tristan Jewel is currently a Student at Music Institute of Chicago where at the age of 15, she was one of the youngest students to attend the Adult Jazz Studies Program.  With a wide repertoire, she tremendously enjoys being a Jazz and Rock Vocalist. Starting in a Jazz Ensemble at M.I.C. with Audrey Morrisson and more recently with Wayne Messmer and his Jazz Ensemble performing in Holiday Specials where Wayne and Tristan's Duet rendition of "Silent Night" brought down the house.Tristan has also had the privilege of recording in studios such as Engine Studios, Kiwi Studios and  playing venues such as The Metro in Chicago with Girls Rock at the age of 11 and again at age 12.

Tristan bought her first Vinyl Album from Jonas Grigola at the Chicagoland Record Show when she was about 12 years old, it was Jefferson Airplane, "Flight Log" and now she is singing her own version of "Somebody To Love" with the band Fire The Canon! More recently Tristan as a vocalist has opened at the Arcada Theatre for Acts such as Jefferson Starship with her fathers Duo Brock And Abrams. She also currently fronts the Rock Band Fire The Canon! who have been honored to play many Fests and Stages in the Chicago Area.

In addition, Tristan Jewel enjoys Guest Performances with many other Acts.  Nothing but great things in the future.
